Power comes from the 12,900cc E13C inline six, a turbocharged and intercooled diesel rated at 380 PS and driving the rear wheels through a manual gearbox. It is one of the most respected heavy duty coach engines built in Japan, known for hauling a full load up long gradients without strain and for wide parts availability across export markets, which keeps this coach practical to service far from home.
